It would be spelled die. Please tell us where you see it. It might be a die crack. There is a difference between a die break and a die crack.Need to filter your light,too much glare.

I'm seeing a die chip in the number nine of the date. A fun find, but seemingly quite common in the 1950s cents.

I see at least one die chip in the date. As noted, not uncommon with '50s wheat cents.

Now that others have mentioned they see die chips, I see them now even through the glare. So, it is die chips, not a die break or die crack.
