Greetings all Grease-mold doubling is a rather interesting and mostly unrecognized strike error related to Grease Filled Dies. https://www.error-ref.com/?s=Grease+mold Lawest actually posted one a few days ago that has gone relatively unnoticed. http://goccf.com/t/454848 These are eather rare or little known errors, but quite worthwhile to be aware of.
Thx for clarifying where the doubling is visible @stone. To my uneducated eyes, this last digit appears enlarged (in other words, taller as well as thicker), Very interesting!

The 1996 was my find.(if you are referring to the example that I posted) Before my find, Mr Diamond had excluded, in error-ref , 1996 from the range of years that this type of doubling had occurred.
