2014 D Penny With Some Extra Letters, Possibly Double Struck

kyle965 New Member United States 14 Posts	Posted 11/09/2023 10:30 pm Hey guys, so I was coin roll hunting just now and I found this really odd 2014 d, what caught my attention is that I thought I saw a faint E on the coin. I checked this with my scope and I actually found some other letters on the coin. Also sorry I know I've been told before not to take pictures of my scope, this is only way I could have it show up in the pictures. Report this Post to the Staff

Spence Moderator United States 34447 Posts	Posted 11/09/2023 10:38 pm @kyle, it would help to have an arrow to the exact spot you are talking about, but I do see an oversized, roughly E-shaped area between the shield and the letter E in STATES. whether it is Pareidolia or differential toning, it doesn't look to me like a doubled die.
