Simply more reasons to avoid paying the cost of slabbing.

The video author questions all human grading and thinks that the future of grading is with artificial intelligence. Who's to say?

Dear CACG I wish you well and I hope you "shake em all down" like they shook me down. I hope your company changes the way PCGS and NGC operates. I'm watching from the sidelines.

I had a couple of thoughts watching this video -

First, we don't know how many coins were submitted to CACG. Is Daniel showing 100% of the coins submitted for cross-grading, or were hundreds of coins submitted and a few dozen are cherry-picked for this video?

Secondly, I agree with CACG on some of those "environmental damage" classifiers - those coins were clearly not stored in appropriate environmental conditions. I know people like "toning", but some of those "toned" coins seemed a bit much. It's so easy to artificially "tone" coins (even coins that are already slabbed) through poor storage (or intentionally toning). If CACG's decision is to be stricter about that, I can understand that perspective. Also, some of those coins might have toned after being graded and slabbed by the other TPGs.

I value having multiple opinions in the TPG space. If you disagree with CACG grading, go to PCGS or NGC.

And then there's the whole "buy the coin, not the holder".

I'm very interested to see how things play out. I think it is still too early to tell.

It's honestly about what I expected. CAC has always been very conservative. I generally get half my PCGS/NGC sticker submissions rejected as Not-CAC. I know pretty much which ones are on the chopping block going in but it's worth a try on some coins. I've also received many more red stickers than gold over the years.

The first minute of the video gives you a clear indication of where he is going with this video presentation. He states that he is bashing human grading in general and human grading is not good enough anymore. His crusade for AI is obvious.
He claims these coins are from another dealers submission to CACG. What dealer in his right mind would send these coins to CACG knowing that CACG ( or should know ) that CACG is much stricter than PCGS & NGC. The cost of submission far outweighs any benefits. Trying to cross the Lincoln cents are a joke. The Silver dollars are just as bad. A 1923-D in PCGS 61 a 1922-D with environmental damage. Then to top it off he claims his dealer friend broke out a 1921 PCS MS 63 Peace dollar to submit and it came back as MS details cleaned. Why not send this coin to CAC to see if it would get a green bean. If it failed you would still have it in a PCGS 63 slab.
Of course we have to believe that the PCGS and NGC stickers on the CACG slabs correspond to the actual coin in the slabs. This presentation has so many holes in it that it is very weak.
