This is the first of two 1972's I found in a Loomis roll over Christmas. Best I could match was ddo-008 but I'm not positive. I tried to look for markers but I'm pretty weak in that aspect, particularly on well circulated coins. Hopefully some of your expertise can nail it. Also any advice on how to abate the rot would be appreciated.
Apologies if I photo overloaded. Just trying to show some of the spread.
From these pictures, it's difficult for me to differentiate between DDO-003 and DDO-008, but I am leaning toward DDO-008. Comparing the spread on LIBE of LIBERTY might confirm it (for which the spread of DDO-008 is stronger than that of DDO-003), or if a die gouge above the last T in TRUST is visible.
