Could be a Cud above UNUM, or pushed up metal from a hit on the edge?

I would keep it and label it "Pinocchio penny" as a fun curiosity!

It does have some amusing damage. The date looks like 1344 to me too.

Farmer2017 this is just PMD. The coin is well worn, however it is quite interesting as a conversation piece.

to the CCF and damage. One thing to learn is that when you have a scratch, gouge, divot or another mark on a coin that has a corresponding buildup of metal, 99% of the time it's PMD.
