Honestly, that's an irrelevant question. The fakes that sell for $1.25@ on dozens of sites pass all the tests including the magnet test. If you find one of these, even if it passes all the tests, you have a better chance of being hit by lightning 2 or 3 days in a row than it being real.

Counterfeit done from 1942 coin. Very poor job here.

Thank you everyone for the input. I clearly see the separation in the 3. Looks like it was originally a 2? These counterfeiters are relentless and getting better everyday.
Finding in a wells Fargo bank roll was exciting though.
I feel rather unintelligent that I didn't catch this myself.

Do not feel bad or unconfortable. They are at least 6 different 1943 S counterfeits. With experience and study of Counterfeit Detection you will be able to distinct what it is. Remember aprox. 2 different Serbian, 2 Chinese and maybe more then 2 domestic.

Even if you didn't catch the 3, it is also the wrong S mint mark for 1943:

I sometimes wonder if PCGS doesn't just order these in bulk from China, then drop them in Coinstars all over the United States. They must reap a steady income stream from people grading them over the years.

probably!!!

Just like the AntiVirus companies (Symantec, etc...) - often accused of being the people behind the malware they professed to mitigate.

No counterfeit coins except those issue from genuine coin will past the coin star. No fake at this moment pass the EMF of the genuine alloy.

Does it stick to a magnet?

If it does, then you know it is a copper plated steel cent.
If it does not, then you ONLY know it is not a copper plated steel cent. You do not know it is a genuine off-metal copper 1943 cent.

The magnet test has value, but only in determining if it is a genuine copper plated steel cent made by the U.S. Mint, not in determining authenticity as a copper 1943.

That awful "3" alone is enough to make this one belong in the "Coin Collector Humor" thread...
