I would love to clean up this coin or should I say restore this coin if possible.Would acetone or verdi-care be noticeable? I have never tried them before.

to the site, I agree with grade on your coin as well as other statements. But not an ordinary obverse 3 coin, it is a new variety discussed by other on another site. Check out the T in Victoria not the normal T used on most 1891 coins I have only seen a few of these

I'm not to sure of the pricing of your coin, but to a variety collector it might bring a good price. I sent Rob Turner a email on it to check out your post hopefully he will look when he has the time and comment further on it. Good luck and Happy Hunting. Jim J

It is a pretty scarce variety where the T in VICTORIA on the obverse die was re-punched with a letter punch in the style of the one used to create the 1871 PEI cent. I wrote an article about these in the March 2022 CN Journal. If you are a member, you can read it on their website.

It's a monthly publication/magazine put out by the RCNA that has a great deal of new research into Canadian and word numismatics. As a member, you have access to their entire historical libraray and many great articles by key members. For less than half a case of beer, you'll be "in the know".

Obverse 3 with closed C. Used to be called Obverse 3A.
Nice O and T

VG-8 that might straight grade if you soak in pure Acetone and use a Q-tip to gently remove the green gunk.
