Regardless, I appreciate your pointing me to the PCGS guide. I hadn't come across that yet and it does seem like it could solve my immediate challenge nicely. My thought is to try and figure out what are the higher value coins to then consider getting formally graded if the value is high enough while cataloging the rest.
And, to that point, I'm experimenting with a couple of different cataloging software tools, CoinManage and OpenNumisat. CoinManage has an interesting feature that will provide a value if you can supply the grade. Using the PCGS guide as a first pass, this could be my solution.
