This note is not in any of my guides. Can anyone help me with approximate grade and potential value? And is there a standard Charlton code for it?

All help is appreciated.

to CCF.

Chartered banknotes aren't listed in the regular government guide published by Charlton. You need the book for Canadian banks (it's big). The 1935 Dominion $5.00 is PS-1033 & it looks like a VF35 or there-abouts in grade. C&C (John1's Coinsandcanada site) pegs a note like that around $300. Nice looking note: hope you have it in a decent currency sleeve.

Probably the reason you had difficulty finding is (as John1 sort of alludes to ) is that is a note issued by the Dominion Bank of Canada (now part of TD bank) not by the Dominion of Canada (government)
