Came across this 1962-D Lincoln Memorial cent and it appeared "off". Felt thin and light. Without my cheaters on it didn't look bad. Should have whipped out the loupe right away but my mind drifted to "incorrect planchet" and other such zebras. I now know how non-collectors feel when they run across one of these.
Weight 1.69 g; diameter 18.41 mm; thickness 1.02 mm.

That's a long acid bath to remove that much weight!

I put these in the same class as glue. When you see them at first glance your brain says wow, then common sense takes over.

That one could go on Etsy with a $5000 price tag.

Oh Jeez. I think I have a bucket of those.
Now I want to take a second look when I have some time.

If I can find it, I'll list it on ebay for 99¢ with no claims about how it got that way. Any bets on whether it sells?
