A tweak on a French coin from 1934, on a pattern for Algeria in 1950.

Rather like triggersmob's Finnish coin, these two 1994 French 10-centime pieces were struck under the auspices of different mint masters:
2-Coins,-Same-But-Different---Show-Yours
The coin on the left has a small dolphin to the right of the date, the privy mark of Emile Rousseau, Chief Engraver of the Monnaie de Paris from 1974 to 1994. The coin on the right has a bee, the symbol of his successor, Pierre Rodier.

While we're in France, the 1947 2 francs comes with or without B mintmark. Same thing applies to most coins in this series, unlike the coin NumisRob posted.

In the year 2000, Donald R. Golder struck some fantasy pieces that were then sold in the Spink, July 2001 sale. Most of the mintages are around 800-1000 pieces in silver, copper, and "goldine" (a gold-colored copper alloy). There were only a handful struck in gold of each design.

The quality, despite being "fantasy" pieces, is absolutely astounding in hand. They have become more popular over the past 5 or so years as PCGS and NGC will now slab them because they are in the Krause Unusual World Coins books. You used to be able to pick up the Silver pieces for melt (or sometimes even less), and other metal types for $5-10 each.

Below are my Silver and Copper examples of the 1879-dated Victoria and the Three Graces Fantasy Crown.
