I needed another coin to make up my Economy submission to PCGS so I added this one. It's a no-problem example but obviously far from mint state. What do you think PCGS assigned as the grade?

I'm going to say F-15, The letters in the shield are very worn.

I like clicking on your threads, because I know there's always something I'll think is nice inside.

Got to agree with echizento on this one - F15.

Overall, VF-25. The shield might be worn, but there's a lot more detail than a F-15 coin overall.

I am in total agreement with F15. LIBERTY not all there + wear commensurate with the grade.

My gut feeling is VF-20 but I could easily see it as F-15

Quite a nice circulated CC

I'm leaning toward VF20. If you get a break at all, it'll go VF.

I agree, but this is PCGS we're talking about. He isn't going to get a break.

Perhaps I did get a break, since PCGS called this coin VF-25. I think the Carson City halves in general tend to have soft detail on the shield and LIBERTY so a coin with weak letters can still squeak into the VF category. I'll post another thread with a different CC half that went to PCGS in the same group.

Thanks for the comments!
