1909 V.d.b Possible Matte Proof? - Coin Community Forum

ghousejr Valued Member United States 148 Posts	Posted 04/27/2024 5:30 pm Came across this 1909 VDB while going through a $50 bag of pennies. Could this be the Matte Proof? Its features are very very detailed for this old of a coin with a wider rim, also the inner rim is a very sharp drop to the face of the obverse and reverse. It can also stand very easily on its rim. I just really thought that it was special in the sense that maybe it was a matte proof. I mean from what I gathered on that specific coin, I really thought I had it. Report this Post to the Staff
