It was a Friday the 13th on the U.S. Mint website for me. After over 30 minutes "in the waiting room" my password was rejected. This is the same password I've used for previous orders as recently as last Fall. After resetting my password (with the same one!) I was sent back to the waiting room. :( After logging in they had all my info from 2017! I had to reset my address & credit card and then it took 3 tries to get the order to go through. Crazy, I order from the mint a couple of times every year and have never had this problem.
Did finally get one: USM15795XXX

Cost me $6 for shipping and I'll see if I can't get that reversed next week by calling in.

I logged in at 8:30 PDT this morning and finally got my quantity of 1 ordered by 9:45.
Interestingly tonight the subscription services are broken and all my subscriptions are gone. I tried putting a couple back and got a message that the subscriptions services are currently not working. The mint seems to be having a lot of problems today.

Does anybody know if this coin comes in a nice clamshell box, or is the mint going to just chuck it into a capsule then toss it into a baggy, with instructions to the postal services to just toss the product out of the truck with hopes it lands on someone's doorstep?

USM website shows the Army privy ASE is "currently unavailable." 100,000 units sold in less than 24 hours ? My subscriptions are intact.

JobIII : Here's a list of the 7 mint-marked ASE's slated for release in 2025. . . 2025 - W - Proof (25EA) 2025 - S - Proof (25EM) 2025 W - UNC (25EG) 2025 - W Laser Privy (25EALE ) 2025 Proof - S - Privy Mark - NAVY (25NPM) 2025 Proof - P - Privy Mark - USMC (25MPM) 2025 Proof - W - Privy Mark - ARMY (25APM) With the standard bullion ASE and the Eagle Privy mark bullion struck at Philly, that's 9 ASE's to chase down this year. Quote:Here's a list of the 7 mint-marked ASE's slated for release in 2025. . . I think, (not sure) there could be another bullion Privy. There has been talk (and for some reason, the chatter about future ASE privy marks has been accurate) that there will be a US flag privy. If we see that the laser/ laser engraved in August is actually the US flag, then I'd back off of that speculation. I know this isn't a mint marked ASE, just tossing it out there.

Quote: Sorry to those that were left out. Agreed. I'd speculate that many were sold to those just trying to make a buck. And those that are, are stupidly pre selling them for a couple hundred bucks. I'm hoping some will have credit card problems and get the sale rejected and more will become available. Another possibility is the mint held back more than we think to sell to the authorized purchasers, that's entirely possible. Unless the percentage they hold for the big boys is set by legislation. But I really feel bad for those who are simple collectors like us who couldn't get one. At 100k there's no reason for this. IMHO people who are regular customers of the mint should get a little priority, maybe a program where we are contacted ahead of time to ask if we want one, heck I'd even pay a surcharge.

Gilly, Your an Avid American Silver Eagle Series collector like Many Here also, At a mintage of 100,000 All interested Should of been able to obtain One. This release Was Not handled Respectfully, At All. I am reading short stories about Nightmares from Seasoned ASE Collectors, That attempted to obtain an example, Signing in, Passwords changed?, till the dreaded RED screen, Sorry, Due to an Overwhelming response, You were shut out, Please try again later.!!!!! Its unfortunate to see this, I am disappointed Again in the U S Mint's inattentiveness in this Topic. Why did things change for the " worse "....... My sincere apologies to those who were treated this way Too.

I was thinking about this earlier this morning. Your place in the ordering queue should be determined by your order history for the series. It seems that would be pretty easy to do given that they have the order history records. At the same time, the mint can't even figure out how to put two different products together from the same order and ship them in one box.

If there's a household limit of 1 for us little guys, there should be a limit of 1 for everyone.

I'm still here sitting my duff waiting to a text that reads that they are available again.. I just hope I'm in an area where I can get to a computer to go get it " IF that actually happens. I really do not want to go to ebay for it at those elevated prices. Still wondering how the Mint will present these coins.

Quote: Still wondering how the Mint will present these coins. I saw that post and never got to it. My speculation is it'll be similar situation to the congrats set. Same clamshell, different sleeve and COA. You know those "gift" clamshells the mint sells to put a bullion ASE in? Sometimes you see a green one? That would be a neat little change they could do for this coin, use a green clamshell, then blue for Navy and red for Marines. But ultimately by bet is it'll be the same black clamshell, just different sleeve and COA.
