Hello everyone
I am a big fan of coin albums, and have a few coin albums specifically for the old large British pennies from the pre-decimal days. Something that I have been unable to find, however, is an album for the decimalized pennies of England from 1968-onwards. Does anyone know where I could find one of these, or do they straight-up not exist?
Thanks

As far as I know, there are none manufactured specifically for this purpose. Various companies, including The Royal Mint, have produced special albums for 50ps, £1 and £2 coins at various stages. Also for the Alphabet 10ps, but there seems to be very little interest in collecting other denominations. There has been so little variation in design since 1971 that they seem pretty dull to most collectors. I have maintained a date run of all these minor denominations and use a standard Magpie generic album for the purpose.

Thank you, jbuck. It's quite a shame that these products seem to be limited to the US/Canada, with the exception of some old British pennies. I love the format more than my bead-drawer storage solution for all the international coins I have.

My pleasure. I do love my Dansco albums. Anything that is not in its OGP is in a Dansco album. I have used their 2x2 12-pocket vinyl pages to hold my world and miscellaneous coins for years, but have been slowing moving everything to regular blank hole pages as the oldest vinyl pages have worn out.

Quote: It's quite a shame that these products seem to be limited to the US/Canada It's a very North American way of collecting. To each their own of course, I for one loathe Dansco/Whitman type albums, I feel the cardboard (or whatever it is) cheapens the collection.

Whitman/Dansco type push-in albums were all the rage worldwide back when world coin collecting was at its peak in the 1960s and early 1970s. This is why you can find both American-made and local versions of these albums for predecimal pennies, for both Britain and Australia.
But by the time there were enough possible different dates to make even one album page for British decimal pennies, the fad had already passed everywhere except North America, so none were ever made.
The only album for British coins in Dansco's catalogue is for silver Britannias.
