Okay I am by no means an expert in Chinese notes as coins are my main interest and usually I prefer the Republic issues anyway.
However this looks very much like the reproductions of the note that were quite famous for a while

This looks way too good in condition to be the real thing and even some SPECIMEN plates that were sold in 2017 at HA were only AU

Your note looks better than AU and therefore I think it is more likely the reproduction as listed here
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/ex...a240189.html

The reproduction is pretty much perfect other than the feel of the note which is of mych lower quality thus a real expert would have to examine it in hand to tell.

But just on the basis of the fact that your note looks pristine to me I would say it was the reproduction.

I would agree that this is a reproduction.

My main cause for suspicion (other than how the paper texture appears) is that the serial number and seals are far too neat and evenly printed.

I agree, the serial numbers are too neatly printed. If you managed to find the past graded pieces by PMG and PCGS, you would notice the font used on the serial numbers is slightly different (especially 5, 6, 9).

How much did you purchase this piece ? The price itself should be a giveaway.
