What will be interesting to see, is if they actually use a box this time, like the proof, or the tray inside the box (the cheap way) like they've done since 2007

The US Mint website shows a box with a hinged lid, an outer cardboard sleeve and a COA.

Hello Morgans Dad. The ASE is by far my most collected silver coin and always will be.

My order is processing. I like the uncirculated over proofs. I purchase both, but more of the uncirculated.
But the bullion... oh yeah! My goal is to someday have enough to dive into the pieces of shiny metal much like Scrooge McDuck.

Quote: The only uncirculated ASEs referred to as burnished are those from 2006 on (except 2009 and 2010) with the W mint mark that come in the original box with a certificate of authenticity. Burnished refers to the matte finish that is a result of the tumbling process before being struck. GLB49: Thanks for that clarification. Helpful.

I Did Too........ You stated, " The ASE is by far my most collected silver coin and always will be. " My Thoughts are, The Morgan silver dollars , Minted 1878-1921, Contained 0.773 Silver, Were/Are the Most Collected/Researched Silver Dollars In History. In Today;s Silver Dollars, Certainly The American Silver Eagles are the Most Modern Silver Dollars, Collected to Date. Minted 1986- To Present, Contains 1 Ounce of Silver ...........

Quote:You stated, "The ASE is by far my most collected silver coin and always will be." Hello Morgans Dad. My comment referred to my collection and not ASEs in general. My ASEs (proof, certified and BU) make up almost 25% of my total silver coin collection. I still regularly buy ASEs when I find a good deal.

Morgans are nice coins. I have three each year from 1878 through 1890 but after that they started getting pricey.
