English silver penny. Short Cross, Henry III (1216-47), moneyer Henri of Canterbury (detector find):

Nice one @numis.

Here is another uniface Austrian Pfennig. It was issued under the authority of King Rudolf IV in the mid-14th Century. The design elements are a rider on horseback to the right holding a shield, with a clover below.

Here is a so-called Saracen Denar from Hungary. It was issued by King Louis I and since I bought it, the timing on when it was issued has evolved a bit. I believe that the latest thinking is 1258 to 1371 for this one.

This Hungarian Denar dates to just after that Golden Horde Dirham that I posted over in the 7th How Far Back Can We Go thread. It was minted at Buda, on the western bank of the Danube.
