Nice clash! And good overlay image to explain it. Thanks for sharing.
I am always on the lookout for a nice strike with the 1968 50 cent piece - have yet to find a really sharp one, especially the crown on the reverse - it tends to be mushy.

Anything on the obverse? Surely if it's that strong on the reverse, it must be visible around the bust.
