Here's a way to beat the $2500 rule. This note can be yours for only $2499.99 285507762061 This is a face value note, 10,000,000 printed. It's the replacement *DE notes that are worth big bucks.

You may laugh but in reality it's a shame since "pie in the sky" listings for circulated rags lowers the playing field a few notches. It removes confidence in the market as a whole & its sad ebay goes after some of us but ignores clowns like these. I remember when I first went on ebay (20 years ago) & the majority of listings were true auction style NOT "Buy it Now" ( BIN) like today. This is a result of high seller fees. There may have been a few oddball listings like the $2.00 with a start price of $5.00 but nothing like "these clowns." There were incentives to sell (not list your note for any figure). It hurts the hobby (especially those collectors who just wanting to start collecting) & turns a lot of folk away. When there's this much chaff to wade through, I hardly look at Canadian notes via ebay anymore.

386179422686$9000 Similar situation to the $10 note I posted earlier, 10,000,000 of these were printed, it's the *WA note that's valuable, not this face value version.

335012793269$12,000 These notes were printed in sheets of 40, never sheets of 8, you can't have 8 uncut notes.

At the bottom of that ebay page there is a link for Similar Items: https://www.ebay.com/itm/143760849245That 40-bill sheet for a whopping $800 (US). Which one would you be inclined to buy? Added a pic of the ebay listing

I picked up a 1953 Canada dollar when I was in Canada in the late 1970's. My parents got it in change.
I must be rich! (not)

Quote: Anton that buys any of this crap only has themselves to blame. What's that famous PT Barnum phrase? "There's a sucker born every minute" BTW, I looked at the major dealers to see if they had similar sheets for sale. CA has a 4*10 sheet of these 1986 $2 bird notes for the whopping price of ....... $260 CDN! GW has some similar items for about the same price. https://www.colonialacres.com/produ...-format-copySorry, but there's no pic for this one, but most of you know what it would look like.
