to the CCF For sure there is no VDB on the reverse. I'm going with 1919-S

Definitely 1919-S. Not enough space between the nines to be a zero.

Has to be the 1919-S (cannot be a 1919-S with a VDB on the reverse) I don't even see a VDB on the reverse anyway.

As to VDB. In what year was it on the reverse and in what year was it added to the obverse? John1

So, the coin had no VDB from 1910-1917? The OPs coin should have a VDB on the obverse, right? The clues should help date the coin...just sayin' John1

The clues should help date the coin...just sayin' Yes it would have helped - But on this one I bet the VDB was long worn off the obverse. However, if it were me I would have compared the 1909-S (no VDB) to the 1919-S - that would have made a bit more sense

Thanks all. If you zoom in on the reverse, It looks like there is a "D" in the exact spot it should be... under the "M". I'm new still so I'm working on getting better pics posted... it's difficult because of the acid damage to get the lighting correct. i'll work on it tonight or tomorrow morning for you all. Obviously, if there is/was a "V.D.B." on the reverse, and no "V.D.B." on the obverse, it must be a 1909 S VDB. Stay tuned... Thanks
