It is so dark it is even hard to read under a glass. It is in the same condition as yours, VF. But have not been able to post it for comments. Report this Post to the Staff

I don't want to clean mine, but it is graded so low because you can hardly make out the letters. It is a very subdue black. It is as a black hole, it does not reflect light so it is hard to make out the features. Even though by touch all is sharp and clean. Report this Post to the Staff
bobo13 Valued Member Bulgaria 474 Posts	Posted 05/01/2009 3:43 pm This is high grade bulgarian almost black copper 1881 coin from my collection(I think EF), it is almost black (green-black), but 150-160 mm (15 sm) from the coin have a small desk lamp when I photographed . But this one I have is so subdue black that it absorbs the light. It is the only coin I have ever seen like this. It is not crusted or dirty, only some change in age and this.
