Next up for me is one of my favorite personalities from history - Benjamin Franklin!
During his career, Benjamin Franklin (b. 1706; d. 1790) was a printer, a print shop owner, a newspaper publisher (
Pennsylvania Gazette), founder of a library (the Library Company of Philadelphia), founder of the American Philosophical Society, a co-founder of the Pennsylvania Hospital, a fire company organizer, a scientist, politician, Founding Father, US Ambassador to France, signer of the US Constitution and inventor (among other things)!
Among his inventions: Bi-Focal Eyeglasses, the Lightening Rod, the Franklin Stove and the Armonica (a musical instrument).
Here's one of the two 2006 US commemorative Silver Dollars that marked the 300th Anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Franklin. This one presents Franklin "The Scientist."
