Unidentified-Korean-Cash-Coin.
Unidentified-Korean-Cash-Coin.

This weighs 5.94 grams and has a diameter of 29 mm. It was in a souvenir folder and the date "1731 A.D" was listed. While one side has the standard 4 characters for Korean cash coins, the other side does not match anything I can find in Krause, let alone for 1731 AD.

The weight does suggest 2 Mun, but that is about it.

That sure is a strange looking one. Buried in an acidic environment?

@Marve65, yes probably buried for a time. Whoever made the folder made no effort to select good coins and I suspect made no effort to be accurate in their ID. At any rate, I have no money invested in this.

I think it is a 5 Mun, Series 1 (KM#880). Ch'unch'on Township Military Office, circa 1888.
