very nice ondiwave!
that set in the cello packet is a souvenir set not the normal annual ones w can buy from the US Mint store - that one was only available in the gift shop at the mint itself.

Oh Canada
Having lived in Australia I am used to Postal Strikes
Australia post strikes "every Christmas" the fuel drivers strike every Easter etc., etc.
I will post as soon as I hear the Cananian Post Strike is over.
If one ot the Canadian members hears before I do please post for the rest of us as some members are having Anxiety over this (There is no need)
All of you be well and enjoy the holidays..
Santa is in a huff He just found out his sleigh needs new rear brakes and 4 new tires aprox $US 1800. Santa may get a second job or rob his piggy bank (too bad he does not have one)

Wow it appears as though Santa is giving on the generous side this year. Great gifts everyone!
It is not enough to merely enjoy coins; one must Advocate for them!

More glorious news from Canada.
I did my homework to ship to the US this year by private company. UPS was by far the cheapest compared to Purolator or FedEx. Just over 21 bucks. OK, it's Christmas. Walked into the store, filled out all the paperwork to get a bill just shy of 60 bucks. I questioned it, they said it was the best they could do. Sorry to my recipient, but I'll wait for regular post. Which will take forever to catch up.
Guess who owns Purolator? That's right....Canada Post.
So just a heads up for anyone wanting to do something similar.

Quote: Sorry to my recipient, but I'll wait for regular post. I don't blame you! I've done some research in the other direction and it was a little more than half that, which is still crazy. I haven't decided yet whether to suck it up and use UPS or wait for the strike to be resolved...

My package arrived today, I have planed to wait until christmas to open it. But I feel a disturbance in the force, there is a high probability that the plan will be foiled
