I see this coin slabbed (not by a grading company) and for date it says "1909 D/D SS". What does that mean?

First is it a 09S cent? Come on help us out alittle....

If so and a previous owner slabbed it, maybe D/D SS was their term for rpm....
D/D = (doubled die).... SS = mint mark...

edit: oops just reread the title....

The only pic I can get would be of no use because the slab is so scratched up the coin isn't visible. D?D usually means an RPM but there weren't any minted in Denver and I have no clue what SS is.

If you can make anything from this.....

Well I'm going to keep an eye it......

Auction is a collection of wheat cents (all years), slabbed and graded. This is the only one not professionally graded. But some of the graders are highly questionable. Like there are 2 business strike coins graded at MS 68. One by PCI and the other by NNC.

The only thing I can guess is an RPM doubled die, which doesn't seem to be a known variety. I would write it as "1909-S/S DDO", but it's easy to mix up the labels.
