Grettings I notice this error on a banknote but I'm not sure if it's a valid one and what type of error it is if one at all. Any details would be much appreciated , validity , rarity , worth.
Error found on 500 Lei Romania 2005 Polymer banknote , in use.
Thank you all!

I can't see any obvious error.

What error do you see?

The first 3 numbers in the serial ...they appear to be doubled , shadowed , have extra ink. Every other banknote I checked has the numbers and letters sharp like the 0 after A.

There is a big difference between a dramatic (in your face) "error" & poor production quality or serial number issues (due to a little ink). If the note had huge globs of ink smeared across the serial # or some of the digits - it may qualify.

Your example, on the other hand, would definitely meet QC inspection but not be classified anything but "spender" both where it was issued & under most collector's consideration (IMO).

Keep looking!

Thank you for the explanation! it was very helpful, I was probably too excited since it's the first time I noticed something like this on current banknotes :) Cheers!
