US Mint - The United States Mint (Mint) will produce 250,000 Semiquincentennial 2026 Declaration of Independence Quarters featuring a special "July 4th" privy mark in celebration of America's 250th anniversary. Bearing no mint mark, these unique quarters will be placed randomly into circulation, offering Americans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to discover a piece of history in everyday transactions. "This is more than a coin; it's a defining moment in our nation's story," said Mint Director Paul Hollis. "We hope Americans enjoy the search for these iconic quarters as they're meant to be shared, saved, and remembered as part of this historic anniversary." Randomly mixed in with other 2026 Declaration of Independence Quarters, these 250,000 special "July 4" quarters will be made available to banks and financial institutions nationwide in time for the Fourth of July. Customers can learn more about all the Semiquincentennial coins and medals by visiting the Mint's website. Check out 2026 Privy Mark Quarters on ebay Check out Books on US Coins on Amazon

As few coins as I handle nowadays, there's virtually zero chance I'll get one out of circulation. Like the West Point V75 Quarters, if I want one badly enough, I'll pay the premium that the lucky ones charge for it, heh!

Consider how many unopened BU rolls are getting set aside this year. Such a coin could be in any of them! =)

No mention of which mint(s) have struck these. All Phili? Half Phili, half Denver? I guess we'll find out over the next few weeks...

Watch how those distribution channels fish out the privy coins and funnel them to their online seller friends who will sell them for 100$ each or more. Just another 250th scam!

Quote: No mention of which mint(s) have struck these. It says no mint mark. But yeah, that doesn't necessarily mean Philadelphia, nor rule out West Point.

Maybe they put a coin press on a railroad car that was taken to Dahlonega and they were stamped out there?

I did very good with the W quarters that our small town banks got in. They said they no longer get new rolls. So I may have to pay the price if I want one of these.
