I would prefer the Dogers to win the series, because I have no Yankees coins.

Quote: Online ticket seller TickPick (h/t CNN's Jordan Valinsky) has said the average ticket price for a game between the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers is a record $1,703 on the secondary market. The previous record was $1,693 in 2016 when the Chicago Cubs ended their 108-year championship drought in a thrilling seven-game series against Cleveland. Stubhub (h/t Yahoo Sports' Jeff Eisenberg) has announced the matchup between the Yankees and Dodgers is already the best-selling World Series in the company's 24-year history. As of Wednesday afternoon, the cheapest resale ticket from TickPick for Game 1 on Friday was more than double the cheapest ticket for the first game in any of the past five World Series. LINK: https://bleacherreport.com/articles...b2sunfd7z8ro1989 World Series box seats were $50.00

Spoilers ahead! While we wait this out, I thought it might be interesting to post a current final prediction after each game, updated based on score and player performances. Here's the prediction after game 1: Winner: Dodgers Games: 4 Runs: 36 MVP: Freddie Freeman. Side note: as the only player to predict a sweep, loonielewy lives to see another day!

Born in San Francisco. . .grew up rooting for the Giants and the Athletics. Not a fan of LAD or NYY. My interest in this year's edition of the WS is more along the lines of rooting for as many thrills of victory as we can get, regardless the team. Last night's game delivered on that.
Thanks again spruett for organizing the contest.
