I found this 1997 D copper quarter
I put it on the scale and it weighs 5.4 G
Here are three pictures that I took the scars
In these pictures may look silver but they are copper looking in person
One picture is the quarter next to another 1997 quarter
There's a small vertical scar that you can see is copper looking

Typical colored dug clad quarter probably found while metal detecting.

PS: Light weight may have been caused by acidic soil

I see bits of silvery color so I agree with above. The coloring of copper is just not right.

agreed, with the tiny amount of the shiny cladding showing through, I say it is an extremely environmentally damaged coin.
