Agreed--this is mechanical damage rather than a mint error. You can see flat spots on one side corresponding to deformed areas on the other side. This coin would be a spender for me.

I'm with everyone above. It is all Post Strike Damage ( PSD)
Spence added some good info for determining why its damage.

ps. It is really helpful to add specific details to your question instead of a generalized question. As in pinpointing what area on the obverse or reverse you think there might be an error.
