1947 D Walker Half With Odd MM

This is just a common circulated Walker but when I was checking the D mint mark, at first I thought it was an O. It's not, of course, but has anyone seen a rotated or D die strike variety that might look like this? I'm guessing it's just an unusual combination of PMD.

Gary, it looks like a combination of die wear, circulation, and a well-placed hit on the mint mark.
