Jarden Zinc Products spent $140k lobbying in FY2024.

It's been that way for decades. JZP changed their name to Artazn.

We've had enough of this government waste. It mostly exists today to line the pockets of the fatcats and bureaucrats in charge. The factory and labor skills at Artazn would better put to use doing something more productive for society than making government slugs at the taxpayer expense.

And, don't get me started on the cost and waste of loading pallets of these on diesel trucks and driving them all over America. That cost far exceeds the Mint's fake "production cost"....funny, they never include transportation of billions of tons of metal nor the cost of labor for the folks stuck moving them around over and over and over.

It may have sailed but you can limit the number of sailors onboard! :)

To be clear, it is implied I am on that ship. More room for me then.

Current transactions are no where near 90% plastic!! As for me in a very rural area probably 70% of transactions are still in cash and we get a discount for using it.

As far as the Cent goes it really does need to go away!!

After Covid digital transaction hit something like 75%. There is a pushback tho now with businesses charging the consumer the transaction fee

Which the CCs allowed them to do because of Covid, but then they never switched back.

Problem is you've just cratered your best argument.

If 75% of transactions are digital, there's no problem with cent transactions. The commercial benefit was eliminating the need to handle physical cents.

You could probably just stop producing cents and leave the current ones in circulation and you'd be fine. By time they started to disappear naturally it wouldn't even matter anymore

They would be gone in six months, a year tops. Adapt fast, the detractors must.
