Would you pay an extra fee when having a coin graded to have a short, maybe 2 or 3 sentence explanation as to why it failed to grade higher? Say $25?

Not a chance .They already charge too much and they both have very poor customer service as it is . Promised turnaround time is a joke .

Money grab for sure, but depending on the value and significance of the coin or note, I might be interested.

In fact, for $25, I would be interested after thinking about it for a few minutes.

Cynical as I am, you're probably right.

Quote: maybe 2 or 3 sentence explanation as to why it failed to grade higher? Say $25? So you want to pay a grading company even more money to explain their grade compared to what you thought it was?

For $25 I want a picture of the grader who did this to me for my poster collection.

Over 25 years of submitting notes, I've received perhaps a half-dozen notes back from the grader explaining his reasoning. Each was most informative. I think it would be a great option that, looking at a recently returned note, I'd gladly pay for, but how the heck would you know in advance which submissions to flag for this sort of upcharge?

Quote: It should be included already. I agree. It should be mandatory. How else are people going to learn? But they do not do it because of the next five to ten things you will send in not knowing they will fail ahead of time.
