Definitely looks like DP #1. Would probably need to inspect it in hand to see if there is a trace of a D.

Much sharper closeups of the date area needed.

Here is an angle pic that captures the reflection. You can see the year 1922 well. On this second close up pic, the second 2 just disappears.

Probably should be sent in for attribution. If a no D is confirmed, you made a great buy!

looks like the die #1 as for no D weak reverse designation I see a schmeer of a remnant D which is better than a pip D. Schmeer pip smudge whatever you call it theres a raised area where MM would normally be if I see it so will a good grader. My vote 1922 weak D die #1 VG10 details. I believe NGC and ICG are only TPG's who recognize no D weak reverse at present. These are tricky iv'e seen 5 NGC and 2 PCGS no D weak rev coins where you clearly see a smudged tiny crooked D better yet the PCGS plate coin in MS65 clearly shows a tiny pip D yet labled "no D" it may still be on GC for $12k even though kicked out of PCGS registry set and now maybe a zombie coin wandering the earth in search of home. I digress if you want a killer no D weak reverse look for ANACS slabbed weak D 1922's some have absoloutly no D smooth as baby bottom no marks smudges no nothing and match/rival the die #2 in nothing awesomeness. Ive picked up 2 in last year slabbed for $77 and $100 the days of $300 no D weak reverse are gone since PCGS delisted. BadThad can tell you about these no D's we love them come in every style 1-4 I'm a sucker for die #2 even though just a simple die scrubb event its awesome.

Thanks for the replies. I was planning on just adding it to my Lincoln Cent album but will consider sending it in.

Actually, I don't find it attractive at all. Date all but invisible viewed straight-on. But it is a curiosity, like a fading sunset. I'd love to see a TPG opinion on this.

Appears to something there. But as you stated might just be PMD. Definitely been around the block.
