Hello and happy holidays! I happened to find another 1891 repunched N variety this week. I have been chasing these down for years and just picked up my 5th. So in the spirit of the holidays I am going to pass one on to a variety collector. Just message me if you have not been able to find one to add to your collection. I will pick a random person to send the coin to asap. Attached is an example of the type of coin you will receive and is the latest I found. You can see my previous posts for photos of one you might get.

@jey, thank you for this giveaway. You will see that I have moved it out of the Canadian v/e subforum over to the contest and giveaway subforum as it best belongs here. If you feel like folks who hang out in that other subforum might not happen upon your giveaway, then please add a second thread which tells folks to come over here. Thx.

That's a really nice example. Someone will be very happy. I like varieties but will pass on this contest to give others that collect "Canadian" a better chance of receiving it. Quote: just curious - which N is repunched? CeNts, RegiNa or CaNada? It looks like the upper serif on the "C" of CANADA has notching, so I'm going to guess it's the N in CANADA. But is it hiding in the denticles, like the date #'s on US cents of the period?

Hi, The N is re-punched/repaired in the REGINA. In the obv 2 of this type the N in Regina has no foot so in a small population they were manually repaired.
