Dear People,

I'm having trouble finding this coin. I would like to know where it's from and from which period of time it's from, and if possible, the link in uCoin of the coin. Here are some extra clues:

1. The coin is about 20-21 mm in width.

2. There are 3 bows visible on one side of the coin; one of them appears to have a circle on the end, almost as if it is some kind of sword...

3. On top of the 3 circles, there appears to be some kind of lines that should be forming something, like the vase-like signature on ancient Turkish coins.

4. It isn't very visible, but there appears to be a face on the other side, but I am not sure if that is my imagination or not.

Every single clue could really help me.

Thanks a lot,

Joël Griffioen (from the Netherlands)

@jgr, first welcome to CCF. Second, can you please tell us the weight of this piece? That information can really help sometimes. Thx.

For example, it has at least a passing resemblance to some tin/lead Kepings of 19th Century Indonesia, but again knowing the weight would help:

Dear Spence,

Thanks alot for your help. I don't have the equipment at home to measure the weight of the coin. I know someone who does, but it will take a couple of days before I will know it... Is there any information that I do have that might help identificate this coin?

@jgr, knowing the weight would be a great first step, but I understand that will take some time. After getting that information, determining the specific gravity could be useful.
