Merry Christmas, all! I was quite excited to finally get my new blank nickel album and Satin finish coins today! I have to say, this was much better doing it this way as I can organize it the way I want.
I definitely like the way it has turned out. I am missing some coins though, but that's part of the journey. I will obtain them eventually. I'm also expecting at least another 2-3 more proofs.
Here is the first page.
I added the business strikes first, satin finish coins, then the proof. I opted to keep it each row for each year, as it would be uneven. I opted for now to throw in a reverse.
From 2006-2010, there's five rows of coins that have six slots each and I will utilize each row for each of these years. I'm also missing the regular business strike 2009 P&D.
Second page. I opted to leave some additional room for the extra coins that were made in 2017, 2018 and 2020, as I would like to add these eventually. I'd also like all the regular business strike coins to be upgraded to sooner or later.
Last page
I don't have any of the 2024 coins, or the 2025 Philly or proof yet.
I also got these, which will go in my main Jefferson album (8113) once I get it sorted out a bit. I plan on adding an extra page to it, for a total of 7 pages.
So all in all, I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out. I plan on doing some more things with it with adding more coins and upgrades, etc. I also plan on putting some labels on it eventually as well, but I'll wait until I get the coins completely situated into the spots that they are surely going to stay in.
