Wheat Pennies With "dust"

Gigi2 Valued Member United States 319 Posts	Posted 01/11/2025 11:02 am I just obtained a couple of rolls of wheat cents. They are covered in oxidation "dust". I'm not advocating coin cleaning; however something has to be done to these. I'll wipe with a soft cloth, but I think I'll probably need more. Would MS 70 work or mineral spirits or what? If they're pitted, there's probably not much you can do to "restore " them. On the bright side, they don't have much numismatic value, so you could pick any common date to experiment with.
