Definitely a Large S.

There are 10 different die for the 1941-S quarter Large S. Some are smoother and more rounded trumpet tails. Others, like this one, have a blockier and more jagged look to them.

Also keep in mind that there is FS-501 and FS-503.

Apparently 503 is the rough hewn S with the triangular tail, and the 501 is the more proper looking trumpet tail. I wonder why other resources do not seem to distinguish the two different types of Large S for that 1941. Or, for that matter, why the CPG itself only distinguishes the two mint marks for quarters, but not nickels. I own several examples of each Large S subtype on 1941-S nickels.

I concur on the ID as a -503 large S variety. My shtick is trying to obtain all of the Washington
Quarter MM variety's on the 90% silver types. Nice find.
