It's been a couple years since I was on these boards. After some nudging from a couple (very) persistent friends, I'm back. Doubt I'll be as active as I was before, but I might as well saddle up, ride along a while and see where the trail leads.
Bobby, thank you for helping me reset the password and get back on here. I sure appreciate you.
Looking forward to reconnecting with all the folk who put up with me the first go.

I kind of got roped into a couple estate sales by an estate sale bird dog friend and kind of ended up with a *lot* of bags of wheat cents to prowl through for varieties. Then I kind of had some former customers want me to hunt for just a coin or two for them. In the process I kind of ended up with acquiring several small collections and accumulations of Buffalo nickels. And you can guess how the rest of all of this is going. I sure remember your expertise and your posts and all that I learned from each of you. I'm looking forward to scrolling through the threads since I've been gone and seeing the coins that are being snagged out there right now. The market has changed quite a bit over the last couple years.

Welcome back! I too missed your expertise, especially your analyses of the die states and grading of Buffalo nickels. Looking forward to learning more! Hope you have fun with those wheat cents!

Hope you have fun with those wheat cents! Thank you both! I've learned a lot from each of you and look forward to learning more. I'm not sure the wheat cents are exactly fun right now. I sorted about a third of the bags by date and mint, and I just finished going through the 1934 Philadelphia cents for DDOs and DDRs. That alone took six weeks. Yikes, I have a lot of cents, but not much sense.

So glad to see you back fortcollins! I've missed your insights especially into the Buffalo nickel world. I had even asked a "what happened to" post aabout you and a few other missing members awhile back! I'm not around as often as I used to be and my collecting interests have shifted towards 18th century Provincial Tokens, but I still pursue my beloved 2 cents and colonial coins as well as numismatic literature. Happy Retirement to you.

Good to see you back to the forums fortcollins, congrats on reaching retirement age in one piece. I have 7 years to before I retire (I hope) I'm aiming to retire and age 71 if I can.
