Just as an aside, this morning I reported 3 Aussie sellers to ebay for using the word 'mule' in their listing title to trap unwary buyers, eg. "mule like', 'not mule' . ebay call it Keyword Spamming, and it's not allowed, so hopefully the 3 sellers that are currently using this dodgy practice will have their listings pulled.

There's one seller in the US that could benefit by a kick in the butt from a mule. He's selling a faked mule: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MULE-COIN-o...em4ab6cabc05

He's not one of the 3 I reported, but any US reader can report him if they wish.

Heheheh! None of his coins have an obverse, they're all observes. What a
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

I guess that is a bit of a grey area because they are genuine coins but the seller is not claiming that it is a genuine mule. I don't know whether that would fall under the ebay guidelines any more than jewellery created from coins would be. At least the seller has clearly stated that it is not a mint error.

appleangel07 , the one that went for $ 877.00 sold by elizabeth was much better coin , a lot better then that one you have linked to

scanned coins tend to exaggerate every little scratch on the coin so this is a high grade coin. I've seen slabbed mules of lower grade advertised for more than double that price.
Rest in Peace

He makes it quite obvious it's not a mint error.
