Good point CoinMan Tim.
Your efforts put me to shame though . I usually only go through 100 coins a night. $1, or 50 cents or 20 cents. Alternating the denominations for variety .
However, that gives me the chance to inspect the coins more closely. As I do not feel rushed in looking at this modest number of samples.

I once noodled $400 of $2 coins and it only took 15 minutes. As Tim said $400 of 5c would last for 3-4 hours, much more entertainment for the same cost.

If you said that to a non coin collector they would think you were mad

Are mules still turning up in circulation? After 12 years and the high noodling incentive due to value, I'm sure there couldn't be many left.

cm tim , all found in the caboolture area , also another 3 I have sold , one in brisbane and 6 in caboolture area ,but I must add we would go into the rsl or the sports club and feed $ 20 notes into the machines and bring them home in $500.00 lots
(3 containers full )go through them and next time we went to town and bring home another lot ..
we dont do it much more now as we have not found any in the last 6 months and to many new coins being used by the clubs now .. kel ..

we spent all day in town today going through $ dollar coins looking for mules , not a one found between 3 of us, plenty of other things but no mules. the one place where we used to get lots of old dollar coins has no more now , useing newer coins and all the old ones have gone now , so I think the mules coins will be very hard to find as the years are moving on and soon the prices will skyrocket up so if you really want one or more go for it now or miss out ...i am very happy with my lot and thankfully I got them at the low , low price too.. keldaw 2222

o yes they are around alright but the only way to get one for sure is to buy one ,not the cheapest way to get one but the surest way to get one , you can look for years and not find one .
and they are getting scarcer and costing more as the years roll on .. if you see one and want it bad enough and it is the right price for you , grab it ...

I'll post pics when I receive it.

Keldaw, your previous post inspired me to have a serious bid on this coin as it is high grade and beautifully centred.

The prices are a bit inconsistent sometimes, like all listings good pictures are essential & I think some better coins have under achieved.
This is one coin that was a very good buy IMO,i bet the buyer will be very happy when they receive it with very little damage, unfortunately for the seller the photo's just don't do the coin justice,if I had of had the $$$ when this coin was finishing I would have jumped on it without a doubt,i was hoping to have a win on OzLotto so I could bid but that did'nt happen sadly.
Good on the buyer who did win it though, they got a great buy.
