I received this from the same auction as the1956 D/D. Seller had it listed as a single clip but I'm doubting that. Rim bur or damage seems more likely to me. Anyway, I received this in a mix up as I bid on a double clipped 1945 cent. Seller is rectifying the situation by sending the correct coin and asked if I was interested in any other coins. I may contact him about an 1866 Shield nickel he had listed. The claim was an overdate but could go either way. The price needs to come down some if it isn't an overdate.

If it shows on both sides like that, then it is not a clip, just PMD.

Edge doesn't really show a clip to me.

I'm thinking it's a Disc Clip. I have found coins with real clips just like this one.

Clip imo. Seems to show strike weakness at bottom of the D.

I enjoy seeing you come out of the woodwork occasionally, even if it may be against what I think (didn't have a thought on this though). I just enjoy seeing your input.

It looks like a valid rim clip to me, too. There seem to be decent numbers of these on 1930s and 1940s cents.
