I have one that shows about as much as your first example, at least half the reeds are visible.
From this one, it's a bit weak.. But found another one in the same lot.. (now taking an acetone batch) has almost the same visible of the donor coin, but has around 80% full reeds, and the other 20% somewhat weaker..
Is not that good as the previous one.. But this one has a readable date.. 1894, not good visible on the photo.. Blue arrow points to the "4".. But the reeds are very good on this one..
