I can't imagine what a laser beam privy would look like, how could I possibly consider buying one if there is no picture

Quote: how could I possibly consider buying one if there is no picture They're not taking orders, it'll be something you need to buy on release day. They'll have pictures and some better description when it gets closer.

I am glad I only collect the ones I like (different finishes), Still waiting for an enhanced proof/RP of the type 2. I would even be fine with those rarities for the Morgan/Peace sets. With the price increase I cant justify getting proof privy if they continue it like this. I like the idea of the 3 branches of the military for 250th anniversary but Laser Beams? WHY!?

This is so stupid. Is the mint trying to kill off the ASE collectors? I used to collect the one commemorative coin set that came out each year. Then the mint started producing too many sets for me to keep up with. I can't remember the last time I bought a commemorative. Now, as a collector who "must have" EVERY ASE minted, they are starting to drive me away from ASE's. I have every ASE ever minted and do not need trivial Privy marks on my ASE's

I can see this pushing some people out of the ASE collector as its just been absolutely insane to purchase them. Not only are they making "trivial" markings that some people would collect (or not), the price is many times what it used to be. I looked up an order from 10/2016. Price of silver was $17 an ounce and is $37 over spot. Now silver is $33 per ounce and they are 62 over spot. Its insane the price they keep "justifying" to themselves and hurts that their mintage has gone up. Lately it feels like their commemorative/ASE choice/Peace/Morgan choices have been lacking. Peace and Morgan they have beat into the ground with no new rarities and printing special rarities 3 yrs in a row (RP) ASE havent seen anything unique and cool since the new type 2 RP set...

The 2016 W Proof was $53.95. The 2016 W Uncirc was $44.95.

If that is the case, then profit margin is the same for both ASEs
It's about 218%
