Lets see all of your turn of the century coins (1500, 1600, 1700, etc) They must be dateable to a '00' year, not 99 or 01 and so on. For coins in other calendars - Convert them to the Georgian calendar. If your coins date is not obvious, please explain how you dated it. I'll start with 5 coins: 1600 Dutchy of Livionia (Poland/Lithuania) - 1 Shilling The date is noted as '600' on the reverse. Quote: 1600: Obverse: SIG · III · D : G · REX · PO · D · LI, Reverse: SOLIDVS · CIVI · RIGENS · 600

I need some clarification too @dear. What about coins with dates in other calendars? Do you want ones that convert to x00 or xx00 or that end in 00 in that other calendar? Thx!

Yes Marve, xx00 is the general idea here. Quote: Do you want ones that convert to x00 or xx00 or that end in 00 in that other calendar? Thx! Great question, one I hadn't thought of. So lets make it easy, and go with date that end in 00 after a conversion to the Georgian Calendar.

Ok thx for the clarification. That will require some extra work for me as I have my collection only listed in the Gregorian Calendar, but should be a fun challenge and a good thread. Here is a Batzen from the Habsburg Territory of Salzburg dated 1500:

Quote: That will require some extra work for me as I have my collection only listed in the Gregorian Calendar Sorry spence, lets keep it easy then (I keep my coins recorded in the Georgian Calendar as well.) So I don't want to make it difficult here. So lets just stick to the Georgian calendar after a conversion from all other dating formats/calendars.
