I believe it is a Cud. If you look carefully at the first pic you can see the way the light reflects from Lincoln's bust, especially around the nose area because it is a raised device. The light reflects off of the Cud the same way because it is raised. |

Use your scope as intended, with the SD card. Cell phone pics of the screen are a step backward.

It is impossible for it to be anything that is deeply incuse into the coin without exposing the zinc core. If this is truly an incuse feature then some other mechanism is responsible for hiding the zinc core. In that case, I would then call it PMD. If it was a defective blank, it would still have the copper coating.
The fact that it shows a rim indicates that it has gone
through the upsetting mill and has been struck afterwards.
I don't see how if it was damage, the rim would be unaffected.
Just my theory.

OP stated that it is INCUSE - Cuds are raised above the rim. It could be a defective planchet zinc planchet that later got its copper plating, then struck.  |

The pics were a little tough to work with as one was at an angle, but did the best I could to show Cud location and mint mark location. The OP's on the left, the listed Cud on the right.   -makecents-

It makes it difficult to tell when looking at the monitor pictures. My guess will also be a flowed planchet before strike.
