Sorry, I thought that the grading was based mainly on the obverse.

PL66 cameo
Nice coin!
Though grading is based mainly on the obverse we always need to see the reverse.
In this case we must see the reverse in order to assess the cameo.

Thanks. The coin is not from a proof like set. It came from a tube meant for circulation that I purchased many years ago. All the coins look more or less the same as that one. I was impressed with the cameo and was wondering what others thought. They all seemed to look too nice for coins meant for circulation. Would that make it a MS66 cameo? I'm not used to grading uncirculated coins.

I would have said PL as well.

Can you post more photos of the obverse with different lighting?

No, a MS designation is from a business strike meant for crculation.
A PL is a Proof Like coin found in the PL sets

I tried for better lighting with two other coins at different angles. I still have 37 of them. If they came from PL sets, someone went to a lot of trouble breaking up the sets.

I'll go with PL64-65 Cameo. I've topped up rolls for the bank with the odd pl coin over the years. Just makes the others more scarcer.

Thanks for the input. I asked for opinions because I thought the coins looked too nice for general circulation. The whole roll of coins all look pretty much the same as those pictured, which got me to think that maybe they were not PL coins. Next time I see a dealer, I'll get him to look at them directly. Sometimes it's hard to tell from a photo, especially when the best equipment is not available.

I got AI to make the coin look pristine. I have to say that the resulting photo looks pretty amazing, but it's no longer a picture of my coin.
